Measurement

Safe Environments use two types of noise measuring equipment to determine occupational noise exposure according to AS 1269:

  • Integrating Type 1 Sound Level Meter (SLM) – B&K 2250 recognised in the industry as the leader in sound measurement. The SLM calculated LAeq, LC peak and a 1/3 Octave Band Analysis;
  • Personal Sound Exposure Meters (PSEM) – Cirrus intrinsically safe Dose Badges to measure the noise over the entire working day. These PSEMs sit on the shoulder of the worker and records the noise exposure to then statically determine noise over similar exposure groups.

All noise monitoring equipment are traceable to primary standards and have been certified by a NATA accredited laboratory to ensure accuracy and confidence in the results.
